High-temperature devices

High-temperature testing is used to determine the thermal-elastic behavior, heat resistance and re-crystallization temperature of materials. Zwick supplies various solution options, from a minimum temperature of 200 °C to a maximum temperature of 1,600 °C.

Depending on the materials to be tested, 1-zone or 3-zone furnaces with air or vacuum environment are available Zwick solutions feature optimum matching of furnaces (including temperature controllers), the correct specimen grips for tensile and flexure tests and the appropriate extensometer.

The high-temperature furnaces and extensometers are provided with swivel units, allowing comfortable, convenient operation of the testing machine, which can then be used for room-temperature testing with practically no re-configuration An optional specimen temperature measuring device with up to three thermocouples is available for direct temperature measurement on the specimen, ensuring standard-compliant testing.
